Av Tourism

You can find us right by Vishnu Ghat, just across from the Aditya Hotel. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when the prayers are happening down by the river. Av Tourism has been operating from this little corner for some time. The office isn't very big, and honestly, the paint could use a fresh coat, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with people walking in after they’ve seen the ghats. It gets loud out there with the bells and the crowds, but inside it’s a bit calmer. We have a couple of computers that sometimes act up when it gets too hot in the summer. I usually sit near the door so I can see who is coming in. We don't do much advertising; most people just see our sign when they are walking to their hotels. It’s a straightforward business. We organize trips and help people find their way around the town or up into the mountains. Sometimes we sit and share a snack with the neighbors while waiting for customers. The location is good because everything is within walking distance. We keep some maps on the wall, though they are getting a bit yellow now. Life in Haridwar is fast-paced during the season, and we just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a regular job for us and we like being here.
