St.Mary'S School

You can find St. Mary’s School right along A B Road in the Pipripura part of Gopalpura. It’s easy to spot when you’re driving through Morena. The morning commute can be a bit of a mess with all the cycles and rickshaws, but once you get inside the gates, things settle down a little. We have been sitting here for a good while, watching the area change around us. The building has that lived-in feel, with marks on the walls from years of kids leaning against them and floors that have seen a lot of shoes. There is a lot of noise during the breaks, as you’d expect. Teachers spend a lot of time chasing down students who forgot their notebooks or didn't tie their laces properly. We have a small staff room where we try to get a minute of peace, but someone is always knocking on the door for something. It’s just how it goes here. Morena can get quite hot in the summer, so we try to keep the fans going, though they click a bit sometimes. Parents stop by the office to talk about fees or just to complain about the bus being late, and we listen and try to fix what we can. It's a plain place for learning stuff, without any of those flashy signs you see in big cities. Just us, the kids, and the daily grind on A B Road.
