St. Michael'S School

You can find us over at 8, Tansen Road in B Zone. It is a part of town that has changed quite a bit over the years, but the school stays mostly the same. The building has that old feel to it, and you can hear the sounds of the street even when the windows are shut. It is not the quietest place in the world, but it has a lot of character. We get to work early to open the main doors and check the hallways before anyone else arrives. There is always something that needs fixing, maybe a loose desk or a flickering bulb in the back room. The staff room is usually where the day starts with someone making a quick cup of tea. We do not really go in for fancy talk or complicated rules. It is more about getting the students into their classrooms and making sure the lessons get done properly. Sometimes the bells do not ring exactly on the minute, but everyone knows the schedule by heart anyway. The courtyard gets a lot of sun in the afternoon, which is nice in the winter but a bit much in May. Most people who work here live just a few blocks away, so it is a local crowd. We have seen a lot of kids grow up and move on from this spot on Tansen Road. It is just a regular school doing what it can with what we have every single day.
