If you drive down Jhansi Road in Gwalior, you’ll see our campus. It’s a big area called Rns Campus and it stays pretty busy most of the year. We have several different buildings for different subjects. It’s not like those fancy private universities you see on TV, but we have what’s needed for the students to get through their exams. The main office is usually full of people asking about dates or forms. Gwalior gets really hot in the summer months, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as possible with the old desert coolers. During the monsoon, the ground gets a bit muddy, but the students still make it to their lectures. We have a lot of young people coming from the smaller villages nearby. They usually arrive on buses or bikes and hang out near the gate between classes. The staff has been around for a long time, so we know how to handle the rush during admission season. It gets quite loud when the bell rings and hundreds of students move from one building to another. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech stuff, just regular desks and chairs and plenty of books. It’s a practical place for getting a degree. The 474001 area is a central part of the city, so there’s always traffic outside our walls. We just keep our heads down and do the work without much fuss.
