Our place is located near the Shabd Pratap Ashram in Gwalior, right in the Bhuteswar Colony area of Vinay Nagar. Since we are also near the National Highway Banmore, we get a lot of people stopping by or just looking at the sign as they drive past. This is an ITI college, so you won’t find a lot of quiet offices here. Instead, there is usually the sound of tools and machines. We’ve got workshops where students spend most of their time getting their hands dirty and figuring out how things work. It’s practical work, and it’s often quite hot in the rooms, especially during the peak of summer in Madhya Pradesh. The staff here are mostly guys who have spent years working with their hands, so they don’t talk in a very formal way. We just show the students what needs to be done and let them practice until they get it right. The building itself is sturdy but shows its age in a few spots. We’ve got a lot of equipment that needs constant upkeep, and there’s always a bit of grease or metal shavings on the floor. It’s a place for people who want to learn a trade and get to work. We don’t have fancy lounges or anything like that. It’s just benches, tools, and the highway noise in the background. Most of our students come from the local colonies or nearby towns.
