Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Govt. Model Science College is a big part of the education scene here in Gwalior. We are located right in the heart of the city in Madhya Pradesh. It is a government-run institution, so things work in a very specific way. We have a lot of students coming in from all over the district every morning. The labs are usually the busiest places. You can hear the sounds of equipment and students talking about their experiments throughout the day. The building itself is quite old and has that solid, institutional feel to it. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff needed for learning science. Sometimes the paperwork takes a bit of time, which is normal for a government place. Our staff stays busy with admissions and exams most of the year. The campus has some trees where students sit between their classes. It gets quite hot in Gwalior during the summer months, but the thick walls of the college keep things a bit cooler. We just try to follow the curriculum and get the students through their degrees. It is a place of study, plain and simple. We don't go in for big marketing or anything. People know us because we've been here in 474006 for a long time. It’s just a regular college day for us, from the first bell to the last.
