Shimmers

Shimmers is located on SRCB Road in Fancy Bazar. If you know Guwahati, you know how busy Fancy Bazar gets every day. We are near Railway Gate No 3. It’s a loud area with trains passing and people shouting in the street. Our shop is packed with boxes. We have to move things around just to make a bit of space to stand or sit. We sell various items, and the shelves are always completely full. Sometimes it’s hard to find things quickly, but we usually know where everything is kept. The floor is old, and the lights are a bit yellow. We spend most of our time helping customers who squeeze through the door. It’s not a big showroom. It’s just a regular shop in a very crowded market. We’ve been at this spot for many years. We see the same faces every day. The tea seller comes by twice a day, and that’s our little break. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the goods out and people buy what they need. Sometimes we have to deal with the rain leaking through the front door when it pours. We just put a bucket down and keep going. It’s part of being in Fancy Bazar. We don't have a website or a social media page. If you want something, you just come to SRCB Road and find us here among all the other shops.
