Our facility is located in Kahikuchi, right in the Kamrup district. We are positioned on the back side of the railway track, just off the Tinsukia Road and National Highway 37. Being near the highway is useful because the trucks can get in and out fairly easily, although the traffic on NH-37 can be a nightmare sometimes. The sound of the trains passing behind us is constant. We’ve gotten used to the rumble. At Kaziranga Cement Ltd, we focus on the basic task of handling cement. It’s a large site, and it gets very dusty, especially when the wind blows across the open areas. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly spend our time out on the floor or in the loading zone. We deal with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to local contractors working on infrastructure projects in Kamrup. It’s a gritty, practical environment. We don't do much in the way of promotion. The work usually speaks for itself when people see the trucks moving. We just keep our heads down and manage the stock. Sometimes the machinery acts up, or the weather slows things down, but that’s just life in this industry. We aren't trying to sound like a big polished company. We are just a group of people working hard near the tracks. To be honest, most of our days are just about making sure the bags are dry and the trucks are on schedule.
