Yadav Sweets Center

The shop is right in the middle of Gurgaon Village in Sikanderpur. It’s a loud area but we are used to it. Every morning starts very early, around five or six, to get everything ready. The floor is always a bit sticky no matter how many times we wash it. That's just part of having a sweets shop. We spend a lot of time in the back where the big pans are. It gets hot back there. In Sikanderpur, things move fast. People are always in a rush to get to work or catch the metro nearby. We see the same faces every single day. Some people just stop by to say hello while they walk past. The sign outside has a little crack in the corner from a storm last year. We haven't fixed it yet because it still works fine. We have a couple of benches where people can sit, but they usually just stand around. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit and we have to ask them to move. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy decorations or anything. Just the counters and the food. It's a lot of hard work keeping up with the demand, especially when festivals come around. Then it’s really chaotic. But mostly, it’s just us doing what we do every day in the village. It is a long day but we are used to the routine by now.
