The Machaan

You can find us at Shop No- 6 in Palam Vihar, Gurgaon. We are right across the road from Spanish Court. It’s a busy part of Gurgaon, and there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been in this shop for quite some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant movement of the city. The shop itself is a bit small, and we have to be careful about how we stack things so we don't run out of room. Every morning we roll up the shutter and start getting things ready for the day. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking our inventory. We don't have a big fancy office; our desk is just a corner of the shop where we keep the ledger. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use a handheld fan to stay cool, but that’s just life in Gurgaon. We see a lot of the same people every week who live in the apartments nearby. It’s nice to have regular faces coming in. We don't bother with fancy ads or polished websites. We just stay here and do our work as best as we can. The traffic near Spanish Court can get really backed up in the evening, so we often stay open a bit later for people who are stuck. It’s a simple business, and we don’t try to make it sound like more than it is. We just focus on the daily tasks.
