At Tata Consultancy Services, we are located in Sector 14 of Gurgaon. This is one of the more established areas around here, so it’s got a bit of everything. Our office is a practical space where we handle a lot of the consulting and IT work that needs doing. It’s not one of those massive IT parks you see elsewhere; it’s a bit more integrated into the local neighborhood. We have a lot of desks squeezed in to make room for everyone. It gets quite loud during the day when everyone is talking at once or typing. Sector 14 is a busy place, so there’s always something happening outside. We usually grab food from the local stalls nearby during lunch. It keeps things simple and the food is usually pretty good. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decor. It’s mostly just whiteboards with notes scribbled on them and rows of monitors. We’ve been in this sector for a long time, so we know the area well. The traffic can be a pain in the evenings, especially at the main junctions, but that’s Gurgaon for you. We just try to finish our tasks and keep things moving for the people who rely on us. It’s a very standard office environment. Nothing too special to look at, but it’s where we get the real work done. We like the fact that it’s easy for everyone to get to from different parts of the city without too much trouble. It suits our needs well enough for now.
