We’ve been here at shop 278 in New Lajpat Rai Market for a while now. Chandni Chowk is always a bit chaotic, but it's where we work. It’s mostly just us handling the daily paperwork and financial stuff that comes through the door. Some days are busier than others. Usually, we're just sitting at the desks going through files and making sure the numbers line up for whoever stops by. It isn't a fancy office with big glass walls or anything like that. We have some old fans and stacks of folders everywhere. People come in from the market when they need help with their taxes or some loan documents. We try to keep things straightforward. If you know the area, you know how hard it is to find a quiet spot, so we just do our best to stay focused on the work in front of us. Most of the people around here are neighbors we’ve known for years. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get the job done right so people can go back to their shops. Sometimes the tea guy brings over some chai and we take a five-minute break before getting back to the ledgers. It's a simple operation, really. Just a few of us in a small room near the market bustle, keeping busy with the usual financial tasks that keep a small business going. We aren't flashy, just steady.
