Sk Das Associated Architects, New Delhi

Even though we are often associated with New Delhi, our actual office is located at M-10/39 in DLF City Phase-2 over in Gurgaon. It’s a busy part of Haryana and there is always some kind of construction noise nearby. We have been operating as Sk Das Associated Architects for a good while now. The office is a practical space where we spend most of our time staring at screens or big rolls of paper. Gurgaon is a place where buildings go up overnight, so there is never a dull moment. We don’t go for the corporate polish you might expect in this part of town. Our office is a bit lived-in, with books on architecture and old projects piled up in corners. We handle various types of building designs, trying to make sense of the space and the client's needs. It involves a lot of back-and-forth and sometimes a bit of stress when things don't go exactly as planned on a site. We are just a team of people who like the technical side of building things. There isn't any marketing talk here. We just show up, do the drawings, and talk to the builders. It’s a straightforward way of working. Being in Phase-2 makes it easy for us to get around and see how our projects are coming along. It's a good place to be if you’re in the business of making buildings. We just try to get the job done right without much fuss.
