We’re over at A-80 in Sushant Lok Phase I. It’s a pretty quiet street most of the time, which is good for focusing on drawings. We’ve been set up here for a while now, working on all sorts of architectural projects. Our office is a mix of old files and new technology. We spend our days coordinating between what clients want and what the building codes actually allow. It involves a lot of phone calls and even more emails. The team is a bunch of people who just really like building things. We aren't into anything flashy; we just want the structures to be sturdy and functional. Sometimes the office feels a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, especially during a big project. We’ve done a lot of work in the surrounding neighborhood, so we’re pretty familiar with how the land lies around here. On most afternoons, there’s a lot of talk about materials and costs. We try to be realistic about what can actually be built. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. We like being in Sushant Lok because it’s easy to get to different parts of the city from here. It’s a straightforward operation where we just focus on the task at hand and getting the details finished. There is always a lot of paper moving around and we usually have a fan going to keep the air moving.
