Shree Maakhan Sweets

Shree Maakhan Sweets is down in Gurgaon Village on Sohna Road 26. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and it’s a very traditional kind of place. We start really early in the morning when the milk arrives. The kitchen gets very hot once the big pots start boiling. We spend hours making the different sweets and snacks that people in the village like. It’s not a fancy corporate store. It’s just us, the trays of food, and the customers who walk in from the street. We deal with the usual stuff like power cuts and busy festival rushes. When Diwali or Holi comes around, we barely have time to sit down. We don't have any marketing plans. We just make the food like we always have. The counters are made of simple glass and we spend a lot of time cleaning off fingerprints. Sometimes it gets crowded and people have to wait their turn, but they usually don't mind. We talk to the neighbors and the regulars who stop by for their daily fix of something sweet. It’s a simple life here on Sohna Road. We focus on getting the batches right and making sure the stock is fresh. We don't have any big mission, just keeping the shop open and serving the people who live around here. It’s just what we do every day.
