You can find Shanti Career Councellor And Education Society over in Model Town, right on NH 10 in Hansi. We are quite close to the SBI branch, which is a good landmark because the highway can get a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space where we keep our books and papers. We spend most of our time talking to young people who are trying to figure out what to do with their lives after school. It’s a lot of listening and looking at different forms. Sometimes it gets quite loud because of the trucks passing by on the national highway, but we’ve gotten used to that over the years. We started this society because we saw a lot of kids in Hansi who didn't know where to go next, and we figured we could help out a bit. We aren't a big corporation with branches everywhere. It is just this one spot near the bank where we try to be useful. There are stacks of pamphlets and old newspapers on the corner table, and the tea guy knows exactly how many cups we need every afternoon. It is a simple life and a simple office. We don't try to act like we know everything, but we try to help with what we can for those who stop by.
