Sham Sweets

We are located at number 2 Old Delhi Road. Sham Sweets has been around for a while now. It’s a simple shop, nothing too modern or flashy. We focus on the traditional stuff. The kitchen is in the back, and that is where most of the work happens. We start before the sun comes up to get the milk boiling and the sugar syrups ready. Old Delhi Road is always noisy with cars and bikes, and that noise comes right into the shop. We have a few stools for people who want to eat their snacks right there, but most people just take things to go. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend more time on the food than the decor. We sell a lot of samosas in the afternoon when people are heading home from work. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door if the storm is bad enough. We just put a bucket down and keep going. Our customers are mostly people who live nearby or work in the shops around us. They know what to expect when they walk in. We don't change the recipes much because people like them the way they are. It’s just a regular sweet shop doing regular business. We are here every day, rain or shine, serving the neighborhood.
