Competition Study Centre

We started Competition Study Centre in Sector 16 because there were so many students around needing a place to sit and learn. It isn't a very large place, just some desks and chairs and a lot of books piled up in the corners. We spend most of our time here helping people get ready for their exams. It gets pretty loud when the classes are full, and the fans are always buzzing. Some of the kids have been coming here for months and we’ve seen them work really hard. We don't do anything too fancy, just go through the lessons and try to make sure everyone understands the basics. Sector 16 is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We've got piles of old question papers everywhere. Sometimes we stay late because a student has a lot of questions or we need to fix the lights. It’s not like a big school, it feels more like a house where people come to study together. We see a lot of faces every day. Some people are stressed about their futures and we just try to keep them focused on the books. It’s just how we spend our days, looking at notes and talking about subjects. We aren't trying to change the world, just helping a few people get through their tests.
