There are blueprints and sketches spread across the big tables and sometimes the old printer acts up right when we need a copy of something. It is just the reality of running a place like this. We spend a lot of time driving to different sites across the city, dealing with the heat, traffic, and dust. It is not always pretty work, but we get it done. People stop by to talk about their houses or shops and we sit down and look at the space they have. Sometimes we disagree on where a window should go or how much light a room needs. That happens. We have been at this address for a long time. Usually, there is some tea going around in the afternoon when things start to slow down. We don't have a fancy reception desk or a shiny lobby. It is mostly just desks, computers, and stacks of paper. It gets messy when a deadline is coming up, but that is how the job goes. We just focus on the next drawing and the next site visit.
