R.K. Sweets Corner

You can find us right at Shop No.1 on Old Railway Road. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always noise from the street coming in through the door. We’ve been here quite some time, and the shop has seen a lot of people walk through. Every morning starts with the same routine of getting the deep fryers going and setting out the different types of sweets in the glass cases. The glass gets fingerprints on it almost as soon as we wipe it down, which is just part of the job when you have kids coming in. We don’t have a lot of space for people to sit, so most customers just grab what they want and head out. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a bit cramped behind the counter when all three of us are working at once. We’re just a local family-run kind of place. We don’t use any fancy tech for our orders, mostly just jotting things down on bits of paper. The fans on the ceiling hum pretty loud, but we’re used to it. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we like being part of the noise and bustle of Old Railway Road. We just keep making the batches and hope people enjoy them as they have been. We just stay here and keep the trays full.
