Rama Kant General Store

Rama Kant General Store has been a part of the Sector 3 Main Market for a long time now. Our shop is at number 100, and it’s right in the middle of all the action. Every morning starts early, around six or seven, when the milk crates arrive. We have to get everything stacked on the shelves before the first customers come in for their daily bread and eggs. The store is packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of things—lentils, soaps, snacks, and basic household items. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when three or four people are inside at once. We know what most of our neighbors need before they even ask because they’ve been coming here for years. The market can get quite loud in the evenings, and parking is always a struggle for anyone trying to visit. We don’t have any fancy computer systems for billing; we usually just write things down or remember the prices. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying heavy sacks of flour or sugar from the back to the front. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, and the shelves could use a new coat of paint, but it works for us. We are just a regular grocery store trying to make sure the people in Sector 3 have what they need for their kitchens without having to go too far. It gets tiring but it is our life.
