We operate out of Plot No- A-50/1, which is right by Eicher Chowk. Our place is tucked away behind the Central Bank in the industrial area. This part of the city is always full of noise from the trucks and the heavy machinery in the neighboring plots. We do engineering work, which basically means a lot of metal, grease, and making sure parts are cut to the right size. The shop floor is made of concrete and usually has some oil stains and metal shavings scattered around. We have lathes and drilling machines that have been part of our setup for a long time. It is not a clean environment; we wear our work clothes and usually have grease on our hands by ten in the morning. The smell of oil and coolant is always present in the air. Sometimes the power goes out in the whole industrial block, and we just sit outside on some old crates until it comes back on. Being near the bank and the main chowk makes it easy for our suppliers to find us. We don't really do any marketing, as most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. The heavy metal gate at the front is the first thing we open every morning. It is honest, manual labor and we just stick to what we know best in this workshop.
