Prakash Arts Shop

Our shop is Shop No. 1 on Old Delhi Road. We are right near Kataria Chowk. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of movement outside. Prakash Arts Shop is basically one room filled with brushes, paints, and frames. It’s been here for a long time. The walls are covered in marks and old posters from years ago. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be careful where we step so we don't knock anything over. Every morning, we open up the shutters and the dust from the road comes right in. We spend a lot of time cleaning things off before we can even start working on the art. It’s a simple life for us. We talk to the other shopkeepers around the chowk. Sometimes we grab a tea from the stall nearby when we have a break. The work is slow and needs a steady hand. We don't use any fancy machines, just what we can do by hand. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe. We don't have a big staff, just us. People come in with things they want painted or fixed up. We do our best with what we have. It’s not a polished business. The floor is stained and the shelves are a bit crooked. But it works for us. We like the location because everyone passes by Kataria Chowk eventually. It’s just a regular local art shop on a busy road.
