You can find us at J-547 in Pace City-II. It’s one of those busy industrial patches in Gurgaon where every building looks a bit like the next one. Pahachan Apparels Pvt. Ltd. has been here for some time now. Our space is filled with the sound of sewing machines and the constant movement of fabric rolls being moved from one corner to another. It’s a lot of manual work. We have people cutting patterns, some stitching away at the long tables, and others checking the finished pieces for loose threads. The lighting is bright, and the floor is usually covered in small scraps of cloth by the end of the day. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes stacked up ready for shipping. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, you’ll just find one of us near the entrance checking a list. The area outside is always crowded with delivery vans and workers from the nearby units. Lunchtime is when everyone spills out onto the road for a quick bite from the local vendors. We just focus on getting the clothes made right and out the door on time. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve got a rhythm going. It’s just a normal garment factory where we try to keep things moving without getting too bogged down in unnecessary details.
