Moti Mahal Hotel

Moti Mahal Hotel is located on New Railway Road. It is an old building, so it has a lot of character, though it shows its age in some spots. We get plenty of travelers who are just passing through the city. They want a place to sleep and a hot meal, and that is what we provide. The rooms are basic and we try to keep them as clean as possible. Down in the kitchen area, the cooks are usually busy with the tandoor and big pots of curry. You can hear the sounds of the traffic and the rickshaws right outside the front door. It’s a very busy part of the city and we are right in the thick of it. Many of our staff members have worked here for a long time, so they are used to the fast pace. This isn't a luxury hotel with fancy rugs and expensive art. It’s just a practical place to stay. We have to do a lot of maintenance because things in old buildings are always breaking down. Whether it’s fixing a light or painting a wall, there is always work to do. We see the street wake up every morning and the crowds start moving early. It is just the way life goes here on the railway road. We keep the doors open and the kitchen running for whoever needs us. It is a simple life for us here.
