Le Meridien

Working at Le Meridien on M.G. Road in Sector 26 is always interesting because of where we are situated. Being right on the Gurgaon-Delhi border means we see a lot of people passing through. It’s a big building, and there are many different departments, from the kitchen to the front desk. I spend my time making sure things are running as they should. It’s a lot of walking back and forth through the hallways. We see all kinds of people, from tired travelers to folks attending local events. The lobby is usually the busiest part, especially during check-in times when everyone arrives at once. We don’t have much time for sitting around. Even in the middle of the night, there’s always something that needs doing, like cleaning the floors or prepping for the morning breakfast. The staff entrance is at the back, and that’s where we all gather for our shift briefings. We wear our uniforms and try to keep everything looking tidy, but behind the scenes, it’s a lot of hard work and sweat. It’s not just about the fancy rooms; it’s about all the little things that happen in the background that guests don’t usually see. We’ve got a good group of people here who have worked together for a long time. It feels like a small community inside a very large building on a very busy road. We finish our shifts and catch the bus home.
