Lucky Kiryana Store

You can find Lucky Kiryana Store right in the heart of Sadar Bazar. It’s a very traditional grocery shop, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the malls. We have big sacks of rice and lentils sitting right by the entrance for everyone to see. The smell of different spices is always very strong here. It’s a pretty old building and the wooden shelves are a bit worn out from years of use. People from the neighborhood have been coming to us for their daily needs for a long time. We know most of our regular customers by their first names. It’s a busy life here in Sadar Bazar, with rickshaws and carts constantly passing by the front door. We start the day very early to get the fresh stock in from the wholesalers. It’s often a bit chaotic with several people asking for different things at the exact same time. We don't have a computerized billing system; we just write everything down in a notebook. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to tell people to come back tomorrow morning. That’s just how a small kiryana store like ours works. We keep all the basics like tea, sugar, oil, and soap. It’s a simple business. My father started this shop a long time ago and I just took over. We don't really have a big team or anything, just local boys helping.
