Liberty Shoes Limited

Our office is over in Gurgaon, specifically at DLF Cyber City. We are on the ground floor of Building Number 8 in Tower A. If you’ve ever been to Phase II, you know how busy it gets with all the office workers and the traffic. Even though the area looks very modern and shiny, our daily life is pretty grounded. We work for Liberty Shoes, so there are always samples around the office and talk about soles and leather. It’s a lot of sitting at computers and taking meetings about distribution and retail. The commute into Cyber City can be a real headache in the mornings, so most of us get here early and leave late. We have a lot of windows, but we usually have the blinds down because the sun hits the screens. It’s a big building, but our part of it feels like its own little world. We don’t really do the whole corporate jargon thing; we just talk about what needs to be done for the next season. People are always coming in and out, whether it’s couriers or managers from other departments. Sometimes we grab lunch at the food court nearby, but mostly we just eat at our desks. It’s a fast-paced environment but we try to keep things simple and focus on the shoes we’ve been making for years.
