Khurana Bartan Bhandar

Khurana Bartan Bhandar is our family shop situated in the Bada Bazar area of Sohna Chowk. This part of the market is very narrow and usually quite crowded with people looking for household goods. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all sorts of stainless steel, brass, and aluminum utensils. It can be a bit of a maze inside because we try to keep so much stock on hand for the customers. We spend a lot of our time unboxing new shipments and trying to find places to stack more pots and pans. The metal items can be quite heavy and noisy when we move them around. We don’t have any fancy lighting or modern store designs. It is just a traditional bartan shop like the ones you’ve seen for years. We’ve been operating out of this Bada Bazar spot for a long time, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. During the wedding season or festivals, the shop gets really packed, and it can be quite a struggle to move around. We don’t really do any marketing or have a big social media presence. People just know we are here because we’ve been here so long. Most of our day is spent talking to people who are looking for a specific size of cooker or a set of plates. It is simple, honest work. We take pride in just being a reliable part of the local market here at Sohna Chowk.
