Patel Retail (Express Division Of Patel Roadways Ltd.)

We are tucked away in Sector 22 in Gurgaon. It’s the retail and express side of the bigger Patel Roadways name, but here on the ground, it feels much smaller. We deal with the day-to-day smaller shipments that people need sent out fast. The office is usually a bit chaotic with boxes everywhere and people coming in to drop off packages. Gurgaon is always moving, so we have to keep up. We don't have time for a lot of formal stuff. Most of us just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The computers are a bit old, but they get the job done. We spend a lot of time making sure the trucks are loaded correctly before they head out to the highway. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving things around. We don't use those big words you see in advertisements. We just tell people when their stuff will arrive based on what the drivers tell us. Sometimes the traffic on the Delhi-Gurgaon border messes things up, but we try to plan for it. It’s a basic operation, focused on getting things where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been in this sector for a while and just focus on the task at hand each morning without complicated mission statements.
