Kashmir Arts & Crafts Gallery is situated in the basement of T 74 on Church Road in Bho Udyog Vihar. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice during the summer. We have a lot of handmade things here, mostly stuff that comes from traditional workers. You will see carpets, some wooden carvings, and shawls tucked into the shelves. It is not like a modern showroom with bright spotlights. It feels more like a storeroom where you can find some really interesting pieces if you take the time to look around. Church Road is a bit quieter than the main markets, but we still get people who are looking for something specific or unique. We spend a lot of time unpacking crates and making sure the items are handled carefully because many of them are quite delicate. Udyog Vihar is mostly an industrial and commercial area, so we get a lot of office people walking by during their lunch breaks. We are just regular people who appreciate the work that goes into making these crafts. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory well. If you come down to the basement, you can just browse through the stacks at your own pace without anyone bothering you. It is a quiet place to shop.
