Jindal Architecture

Our place is at H No 216 in Sector 10A, Gurgaon. We are sharing the space with V D Yadav and Utpal Upadhyay. It’s a regular house-turned-office setup, which makes it feel okay compared to those big towers downtown. Haryana can get really hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day while we work on our designs. We have been in Sec 10A for some time now. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it’s mostly quiet except for the occasional street vendor. We do architecture work, mostly drawing up plans and thinking about how to use space. There are a few of us here. We don't wear suits or anything like that. Usually, it’s just jeans and a shirt. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and local building codes. It’s not the most exciting part of the job, but it has to be done. The office has plenty of light coming in, which helps when we are looking at small details. We keep our files in some old metal cabinets. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with samples of bricks or tiles sitting on the floor. People stop by to ask questions about their own houses. We just give them a straight answer based on what we know. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like being part of the local community here in our corner of Gurgaon.
