Ahammad Designer Boutique

The shop is tucked away at 92/29 Kirti Nagar on Jharsa Road, right near the New Haridwar Road. It gets pretty busy around here with people moving back and forth all day. At Ahammad Designer Boutique, we usually have a few different projects going on at the same time. You’ll hear the sewing machines running from the moment we open until we finally lock up at night. There are scraps of fabric and different colored threads all over the place. We don’t try to make the shop look like those high-end malls. It’s a workspace first and foremost. Sometimes it gets a little messy when we have a big order to finish, but that just means we are working hard. The light in the front window is good for seeing the details on the cloth. We’ve been in this part of Kirti Nagar long enough to know most of the people who walk past every morning. We get a lot of regulars who come in for small repairs or to see what new patterns we have. It’s a lot of hours on our feet, and my back usually aches by the time I head home. Still, seeing a finished piece of clothing hanging up makes it feel like the day was worth it. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one stitch at a time.
