If you head down to Udyog Vihar Phase-I, you’ll find us at number 53. It’s an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machines or someone loading a truck nearby. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the building has seen better days, but it serves us well. Most of the space is taken up by the collections we keep in stock. There are rows of shelves that go almost to the ceiling, and sometimes we have to use a shaky ladder to reach the top ones. We spend a lot of time counting items and checking labels to make sure everything is where it should be. The office is just a small partitioned area in the front where we keep the computer and the phone. It gets pretty dusty because of all the activity in the Vihar, so we’re always wiping down the desks. We aren't big on fancy titles here; everyone just pitches in where they are needed. If someone is out sick, someone else picks up the slack without complaining too much. We drink a lot of water because it gets warm in the afternoons, and we usually have a radio playing somewhere in the background to keep things from being too quiet. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, and we’ve grown used to the rhythm of the place. We just focus on the boxes and the daily shipments.
