Dolly Sandhu

The shop for Dolly Sandhu is over at Dlf City Phase I, right in the Central Arcade. It is a decent little spot if you can find parking, which is usually a bit of a nightmare during the lunch hour. I spend most of my time behind the counter or checking on things in the back room. The arcade has a lot of history, and you see the same people walking their dogs or grabbing coffee every single morning. I decided to set up here because it felt like a real neighborhood, not just a bunch of tall buildings with no soul. Sometimes it gets a little quiet in the afternoons, so I just read the paper or catch up on some cleaning. It is not some big polished operation with a hundred employees. It is just me and a couple of helpers when things get busy. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing team telling us what to say. If someone walks in, I talk to them like a normal human being. Some days are better than others, and sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it is forty degrees outside. We just deal with it. I have put a lot of my own time into making the space look okay, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint one of these days. It works for now, and that is what matters most to me. We keep the front door open for fresh air most days.
