Jai Mata Kirana Store

You can find Jai Mata Kirana Store at Shop No.8C in Sector 54, Phase 2. We have been here for some time now, serving the people who live nearby. It is a small shop but we try to keep it packed with all the essentials. You know how it is with kirana stores, there is always something someone needs at the last minute. We have bags of rice, different kinds of oil, and all the small things like matches and spices. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of all the construction going on in the area, but we clean up when we can. It’s a simple life running a store in Phase 2. We see the same faces every day. Some people just come in for a single packet of biscuits or a bottle of water. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. It is just the shop number 8C on the wall. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. It gets busy in the evenings when people are coming home from their jobs. We have to keep track of everything manually most of the time. It is a lot of counting and stacking boxes. We just want to make sure the locals have a place nearby to get their groceries. There is no fancy talk here. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first customer. That’s how we spend our days.
