Hotel Metfort

Hotel Metfort sits right along the National Highway in Raj Nagar, quite close to Rajiv Chowk. Since it's near the highway, there is always the sound of trucks and cars zooming past at all hours. The dust from the road tends to settle on everything, so we are constantly wiping down the windows and the front desk. It's a practical spot for people driving through who don't want to go too far into the city. The building itself is straightforward. We have some plants out front, though they struggle a bit with the exhaust from the traffic. Rajiv Chowk is a major landmark, so people usually find us without much trouble. The staff here is used to seeing people who have been on the road for many hours. They usually just want a glass of water and their room key as fast as possible. We don't have any grand speeches about what we do. We just open up in the morning, check the registers, and keep things moving. The rooms are basic and we try to keep the noise from the highway out as much as we can. It’s the kind of place where you stop because you're tired of driving. We've seen a lot of different people pass through over the years. Some are moving house, some are on business. It’s just a regular part of the landscape here near the highway. The night shift usually sits by the window watching the truck lights go by on the road.
