Hotel Leela Ventures Co. Ltd.

We work over at Ambience Island, right off the NH-8 in Gurgaon. It’s a very busy area with the main highway right there and the big mall nearby. Our team spends most of the day inside the building, specifically focusing on the residences and the hotel side of things. Since we are in the housekeeping department, our work is mostly behind the scenes. We spend a lot of time checking the rooms, making sure the linens are clean, and ensuring everything is in its right place before someone new arrives. It’s a large property, so there is always a huge amount of walking involved for every shift. We start pretty early in the morning and sometimes we have to stay quite late depending on how many guests are arriving or leaving that day. The traffic on the NH-8 is always a nightmare, so most of us try to get here well before our shift actually starts. It is not an easy job, staying on top of all the cleaning and the various requests that come in, but we have a good group of people working here. We mostly use the service elevators and the back hallways to get around. It takes a lot of coordination between the different floors and the laundry team. We don’t really see the guests all that much, but we see the results of our work every time a room is finished and ready. It’s just hard work and staying busy in Haryana.
