Our place is on M G Road, and it stays pretty packed most of the time. We handle a lot of sweets and savory snacks. The glass cases are full of different items, and we spend a good chunk of our day pointing out what’s what for people who aren't sure. It gets really hectic during the festival seasons when everyone wants to buy boxes of sweets to take home. We have a lot of people standing around waiting for their orders, and the noise level can get pretty high. The floors are made of tile and we are constantly mopping up spills from the tea or water. We have a small kitchen area where the snacks are prepared fresh. Sometimes the line for the billing counter gets a bit long and people get impatient, but we just try to work through it as fast as we can. It’s a local favorite for people who are shopping on M G Road and want something quick to eat. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just some basic tables and chairs for those who want to eat inside. It’s a very straightforward operation. We just stock the shelves, serve the food, and clean up at the end of the night. It’s been this way for a long time now. We have to count the inventory of the pre-packaged boxes every morning before we open. The overhead fans are always on to keep the air moving. Some days the supply truck arrives late because of the M G Road traffic.
