Gogia Bartan Store

We are located right at Sohna Chowk on Old Railway Road. If you come by Gogia Bartan Store, you’ll hear us before you see us. Steel and brass pots make a lot of noise when you move them around. The shop is full of shiny utensils stacked in high towers. We spend most of our time polishing things or helping people find the right size of pan. It’s a traditional kind of place. We don’t have air conditioning, so the big ceiling fans are always humming. Old Railway Road is a hectic place to be, but we like the energy. Customers come in looking for stuff for their kitchens or gifts for weddings. We’ve got stacks of plates that reach pretty high. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone else. The floor is stone and stays relatively cool. We usually have tea brought in from the stall across the street twice a day. It’s a simple way to make a living. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. People know us as the place with all the metalware. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, one pot at a time. The stack near the front door always leans a bit to the left. We don't bother fixing it because it has been that way for years. It’s just part of the shop's character now.
