About Ganapathi Cocopeat – Agriculture & Farming in Gurugram
We are located at Shop No. 34 in the Guru Nanak Market, right on New Railway Road. It’s a busy spot and the traffic outside can get pretty loud during the day with all the trucks and rickshaws going by. At Ganapathi Cocopeat, our day mostly consists of handling bags of cocopeat and talking to people who stop by the shop. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the bags, but that’s just part of the business. We keep our records in some old ledgers and on a computer that’s seen better days. Sometimes the loading takes longer than expected because the market gets so crowded, and we have to wait for a clear path. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical space where we store our stock and manage the orders. My desk is tucked in the corner behind a stack of samples. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to arrive. Sometimes the sun shines right into the front of the shop and it gets quite warm, so we keep the fan running at full speed. It isn't a glamorous job, but we’ve been doing this here for a while and we know the routine. Most people find us just by looking for the sign near the market entrance. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the cocopeat is ready for whoever needs it.
