Iqra Vermicompost

Working at Iqra Vermicompost means getting your hands a bit dirty, but that’s fine with me. We are located in the Augusta Point Building. It’s quite close to Sector 53-54, so it’s easy to get here if you are using the Metro. The station is just a short walk away, which is how I get to work most days. Being in this part of town is a bit strange for a vermicompost business because it’s surrounded by tall buildings and glass offices. But we have our space and we make it work. The smell of earth is always around us, which I actually like compared to the city fumes. The office part is small, just enough for a desk and a laptop. I spend a lot of time checking on the beds and making sure everything is damp enough. It’s a quiet kind of work. We don’t have any loud machines or flashy advertisements. People usually find us through word of mouth or by seeing the address online. Sometimes the building gets a bit busy with other tenants, but we mostly keep to ourselves. It’s a practical setup for what we are doing. I usually leave around six when the commuters are flooding back into the metro station. It’s a good balance of being in the middle of things but doing something very basic and natural.
