Galaxy Hotel Gurgaon

Being right here near NH-8 in Sector 15-II means there is always something going on. It is a big building, and we spend a lot of time just making sure the lights are on and the floors are clean. Working in a hotel isn't exactly like what you see in movies. Most of the time it is just us checking the clipboards and making sure the kitchen has enough supplies for the morning. The traffic on the highway is a constant sound in the background, something you sort of stop hearing after a few weeks of working here. We have the spa and the shopping area too, which keeps things moving. It gets busy on weekends when people come in from the city. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local shortcuts to get to work. It is a lot of walking back and forth through the long hallways. Sometimes the elevators are slow, and we have to explain that to guests when they are in a hurry. We try to keep the lobby looking decent, but it is a living space, so things get moved around. It is just a regular hotel job in a busy part of Gurgaon. We do what needs doing, whether that is fixing a leaky faucet or helping someone find their way to the mall. It is a lot of small tasks that add up by the end.
