Dahiya Sweets

Our shop is located at 41611 New Railway Road in Gopal Nagar. It’s a busy street with plenty of traffic and people walking by all day long. We open up early to catch the people heading to work or the station. The morning air is usually a bit cool when we start the first batch. The back room is where all the heavy lifting happens, with big containers of milk and large trays for the sweets to set. It’s a lot of manual labor, stirring and lifting, but we’re used to it. We don’t use any fancy machines; most of what we do is by hand. The front counter can get a bit hectic in the evenings when everyone wants something to take home for dinner. We’ve been in Gopal Nagar for quite some time now and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. The building isn't brand new, and the paint might be peeling a bit in the corners, but we keep it clean. We aren't trying to impress anyone with modern decor. We just focus on the products we put in the display cases. Sometimes we sit outside on the stools when it’s quiet and watch the cars go by on New Railway Road. It’s a simple life running a sweet shop. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, make the sweets, and hope people enjoy them. That’s how it’s always been for us.
