Chinar Hotel & Restaurant

The Chinar Hotel & Restaurant is right here in the Suncity Arcade in Sector 54. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but people find us eventually. I handle a bit of everything here, from showing guests to their rooms to helping out in the kitchen when they are short-handed. The arcade itself can be quite quiet during the day, so I spend a lot of time checking the linens and making sure the menus aren't torn or stained. Our restaurant area isn't huge, but it has enough tables for the families who live around here. We get a lot of people who come in for a quick lunch while they are out doing their shopping. The walls are painted a simple color, and we have some plants near the entrance that I have to remember to water every morning. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we have to use the stairs, which is quite a workout if you’re carrying heavy luggage. I’ve worked in bigger places before, but I like it here because it’s not so fast and loud. You actually get to talk to the people who are staying with us. They tell me where they are from and where they are going. It makes the day go by faster. We just try to keep the rooms tidy and the food hot. That's about all you can do.
