Bhagwati Departmental Store

Bhagwati Departmental Store is at Shop Number 36 in the Huda Market of Sector 23. We are quite close to Om Sweets, which is a big landmark around here. Gurgaon has changed a lot over the years, but this market still feels like a local hub for everyone living in the sector. We carry a whole range of departmental goods, mostly things people need for their kitchens or bathrooms. It’s not a huge place, but we try to keep it organized so people can find what they need quickly. Most of our customers are families who have lived in Sector 23 for a long time. We know what they usually buy, so we try to keep those things ready. In the mornings, it’s usually busy with people getting bread or milk. Then it gets a bit quiet in the afternoon when it’s too hot to be out in the Huda Market. I spend that time checking the expiry dates and writing down what needs to be ordered from the distributors. We don't do any big promotions or anything like that, we just open the shutters and wait for people to come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light coming in from the door, which is just part of the job. It’s a decent way to spend the day, talking to neighbors and keeping the shelves stocked up for the next person. We try to keep it simple and just provide what the community needs.
