Balaji Sweet & Snacks

You can find our shop at Sushant Lok H 14. It is a humble little spot where we put out sweets and various snacks every day. We usually start our work before the sun is even up. There is a lot of chopping and mixing to do before the first customers arrive. We have some basic seating if people want to sit down and eat their samosas right away. A lot of the office workers from the nearby buildings stop by during their tea breaks. We see the same faces almost every morning and afternoon. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first opened, but we are still here in the same block. Sometimes the floor gets a bit cluttered with empty boxes and supplies, but we clean it up when we get a spare minute. We don't have a big corporate team running things, just a couple of us who know how to handle the kitchen. We make everything in small batches so it stays fresh throughout the day. If someone needs a larger order for a small gathering at home, we try to help them out. The lighting in the shop is a bit dull, but we think it’s comfortable enough. We don't go in for any of that modern marketing stuff. We just open the shutters and get to work. It is a good way to earn a living and we like being part of the Sushant Lok community.
