Baksha Sweets

You can find us right in the middle of Sadar Bazar Main Market. Baksha Sweets has been sitting on this same street for a long time. It is a very busy place with people walking by and bikes honking constantly. We wake up early to start making the batches for the day because the milk comes in fresh and we have to get to work on the big iron pans. It gets very hot back there in the kitchen area. We put everything out in the glass cases so people can see what is ready to take home. Some days are much busier than others, especially when there is a festival or a big wedding happening nearby. We have all kinds of people coming in, from regulars who live just around the corner to strangers who are just passing through the market for the first time. The floor gets a bit dusty from all the foot traffic coming in and out, but we try to sweep it whenever we get a small break. It is just a basic shop with no fancy lights or modern decorations. We just keep the trays full of whatever we made that morning. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon if it is a lucky day for us. We do not really do any advertising, we just have the old sign up. It is honest work and we have been doing it the same way since we opened.
