Architects Design Express

At Architects Design Express, our place is in the Sushant Shopping Arcade in Sushant Lok Phase 1, Gurgaon. We are quite close to the Huda City Metro Station, so the area is always moving. Working in Gurgaon is different than Delhi, but the hustle is pretty much the same. We have this small office where we spend most of our hours looking at designs and talking to contractors. It’s not a polished corporate office. There are usually rolls of paper everywhere and coffee mugs on the tables. We handle the design stuff, trying to figure out how to make spaces work better for the people living in them. Sometimes we get stuck on a tricky design for hours. We don’t use a lot of jargon when we talk to people. It’s better to just explain things simply. The arcade gets busy in the evenings, but we are usually head down, working on the next set of plans. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and we’ve seen plenty of shops come and go. We stay focused on our work and try to be as practical as possible with every project we take on. It’s a lot of back and forth between the office and the sites, but that’s the nature of the job. No big promises, just steady work and trying to make sure the buildings look right. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but we get the job done for the locals.
