Aggarwal Sweets

Aggarwal Sweets is a name you see everywhere, but this one is our shop in DLF City Phase I at A-12. Being in Phase I means we see a lot of people who have lived here for years. The shop is pretty standard with the glass display cases full of laddoos and gulab jamun. We spend the afternoon frying up big batches of jalebis in the front so the smell goes out onto the sidewalk. It is a good way to get people to stop by. The staff here has been around for a bit and we all know where everything is kept. The mornings are for cleaning the trays and the evenings are for the rush of people coming home from work. It can get a bit messy when the kids come in for ice cream or snacks, but we clean it up pretty fast. We don't use any fancy machinery, just our hands and some basic tools for the sweets. A-12 is a good spot because it is easy to find. The fridge in the corner hums a bit too loud sometimes, but we are used to it by now. It is just a regular neighborhood sweet shop where you can get a samosa and a chai without any fuss. We just try to make sure the snacks are crispy and the tea is hot.
